NES Fircroft is partnered with a global leader in the green hydrogen space as they search for a Test Engineer to join their electrolysis testing team based near Perth.This is a Monday to Friday contract role for 12 months initially with potential to extend longer or become permanent.This is a multi-faceted role that involves a mix of hands-on assembly and testing, engineering and data analysis, working closely with the design team, technical documentation, and product development.Key accountabilities will include:Preparation of test procedures and plans to develop new and emerging water electrolysis technologies.Gathering, analysis and reporting of test data.
Automating the test reporting system.Manual execution and data reporting of some test cases.Problem solving day to day issues, raising issues or the requirement for design changes to the engineering team where required.Participating in traceability activities.Design and development of testing equipment.Working with the design team to convert prototypes to manufacturable parts based on test results.Qualifications and skills required:Tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering is highly regarded, but not essential.Experience in testing software and/or hardware systems.Experience in requirements analysis, traceability and creating, executing and reporting testing outcomes to engineering in a highly professional manner.Understanding of basic engineering workflows and System Development Life Cycle.Tertiary qualifications highly regarded, but not essential.
Further training and support will be provided.Contribute effectively towards the objectives of the team and share knowledge, ideas and information.Well-developed problem solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to solve problems in a measured and creative way.Some experience in prototypes and design for manufacture (advantageous).Experience with rapid prototyping manufacturing using CNC Machines/Routers, Laser Cutters, Water Jet Cutting and Injection Moulding (advantageous).
