We are actively seeking Experienced Rhino Driller / Trainer to join us in our African Operations.
The roster on offer is 6 weeks on and 3 weeks off. This position is responsible for ensuring the effective transfer of skills and knowledge specific to the Raise Bore RHINO to national raise-bore operators and trainees responsible for the construction of ventilation raises, escape ways, ore passes, stope slots, and other service-related excavations.
Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure that relevant Safety, Mining, and other statutory Codes and Regulations are followed.Drive training programs for national employees in the use of the Raise Bore RHINO HM100 utilizing the new technology being introduced into Ghana.Read and accurately follow mine instruction plans with skill and precision ensuring holes are drilled to design line, gradient, and profile.Conduct inspections and maintenance on all equipment before use.Set up and troubleshoot on Raise Bore RHINO HM100 utilizing the new technology.Ensure trainees are familiar with proper maintenance of equipment and how to record and report faults.Demonstrate a passion for safety and a proactive attitude toward ensuring that safety is prioritized for all employees at all times.Show demonstrated experience and proficiency in all facets of small raise bore and boxhole operations.Ability to read and accurately interpret mining plans.Strong attention to detail in accurate recording and reporting of drilling information.Set up lasers on pivot and collar points and drill accurate and parallel holes in rises.Passion to train and develop others to a high standard and experience working across multiple countries and cultures.International or Ghanaian Drivers' License.Patience and perseverance.Experience in all aspects of long hole drilling inclusive of air mist, single hole, and full fan automation (Desired).Your proactive attitude to safety and driven work ethic will see you as a much-valued employee in line with AUMS's values and 'can do' attitude, rewarded with a highly competitive, targeted remuneration package completing our vision of a work-life balance in a strong team environment.A full pre-employment medical is required, including drug and alcohol screening and site-specific clearances.
