About the Role: Sharp and Carter are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated School Psychologist to join their Wellbeing Team. Reporting to the Deputy Principal of Students, the successful applicant will play a pivotal role in promoting mental health and well-being within the school community. This role includes providing psychological services, supporting students and families, and collaborating with staff to create an inclusive and supportive educational environment. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Management: Contribute to the school’s vision and mission; support the implementation of strategic directions; and promote the College as a leading provider of education. Psychological Support: Provide counselling and therapeutic services to students experiencing a range of mental health, emotional, and family issues. Program Development: Design and facilitate evidence-based interventions, group programs, and preventative initiatives in collaboration with staff and external professionals. Professional Learning: Deliver training and resources for staff and families, enhancing the capacity to support student development. Crisis Response: Assist the School in managing critical incidents and emergencies, providing support to affected students and families. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate student information and records in accordance with legislative requirements. Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with staff, students, families, and external agencies to promote well-being. Selection Criteria: Child Safety: A demonstrated commitment to child safety regulations and the ability to engage appropriately with children. Education & Experience: Full registration with AHPRA is essential. Experience in an educational environment, while not required, is highly regarded. Skills & Attributes: Strong team player, excellent communication skills, strategic thinking ability, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
