Our Infrastructure business is experiencing growth due to a pipeline of high-profile Projects and future workforce planning requirements. Due to this growth, we are looking for an experienced Intermediate Highways Engineer to lead our Australia Highways team. The location can be across Australia.
The candidate will be is responsible for preparing engineering calculations, technical specifications and reports for both front end planning studies and the detailed engineering phase for multi-disciplinary projects. The candidate will contribute to: team development, client engagement and proposal preparation.
Key responsibilities:
Perform conceptual and detailed digital models, engineering design and drawing deliverables
Contribute and/or prepare engineering calculations
Contribute and/or prepare technical specifications
Contribute and/or prepare technical memos and reports, within areas of expertise
Coordination with designers and engineers within the civil discipline and with other disciplines
Prepare and contribute to the submission of proposal work
Understanding of relevant codes and standards.
Qualifications and experience:
A relevant degree in Civil Engineering.
Strong project experience
Experience with road/highway modelling and design in Civil 3D, Openroads, 12D
Understanding of design and analysis of roads, freeways, intersections and drainage;
Ability to both work as an individual or in a multidiscipline team with minimal supervision;
Flexible in attitude and ability to both lead and direct a small team of technical staff;
Sound knowledge of Australian Standards in current engineering and construction principles, methods and practices; for TMR, Vicroads, TfNSW and with Australian Standards;
Desirable
Professional Engineer registered with Engineers Australia or other relevant country registration;
Experience and interest in business development initiatives, and in the development and maintenance of client relations;
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff and clients (both written and orally);
Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills;
Interpersonal and teamwork skills in complex and changing environments.
