About your opportunity: In this position you will deliver clinical pharmacy services to patients within Mareeba Hospital and Lotus Glen Correctional Centre as a member of a multidisciplinary team to stakeholders/customers of Queensland Health. This position may be required to be rostered to other Health facilities within the Hospital and Health Service when required. About your role: Deliver clinical pharmacy services in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards. As experience builds, apply increasingly independent clinical judgement to more complex clinical decision making under the clinical practice supervision or professional guidance of a more senior clinician. Develop clinical practice knowledge and expertise through active learning within the team and by engaging in professional development activities. Liaise with patients and their families, other health professionals, supervisors, students and researchers, as required to ensure continuum of care. Participate in the identification, development and implementation of quality and service improvement activities that enhance the delivery of pharmacy services within the local service area. Provide clinical education pertaining to routine tasks for interns, students and less experienced staff with the support of senior clinical staff.
