The Murray Dairy Board is seeking to engage a professional executive officer to support it through an exciting growth and transition phase for the organisation to fill a parental leave period of approximately 8 months. This is a part-time role of 2-3 days per week starting early December 2024. The role has flexible working conditions including days, time, and location.The role will suit a consultant or contractor with a track record in governance, strategy, and project management.The executive officer to the Murray Dairy Board will add value to the board through their deep understanding of best-practice governance; through their strong connections with key stakeholders and their excellence in both written and verbal communication.They will ideally have experience in securing and administering substantial grants and have a capacity to quickly grasp the nuances of the dairy industry at both a farm and processing level and the dairy R&D investment cycle.The executive officer will be responsible for forging a highly productive relationship with the Dairy Australia & Murray Dairy regional team to work effectively together to promote outcomes for dairy farmers in the region.Key tasks will include:Financial management including analysis and reportingManaging governance processes including regular Board meetings and associated reportingProject managementStrategic planningStakeholder engagementA position description is available upon request.
