The Position
The Trainee Customer Services Officer - Albury Entertainment Centre will assist with the operations of the Albury Entertainment Centre including reception, administration, box office, general enquiries, cash handling, reconciliations, and marketing activities.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide front line customer service functions at the Albury Entertainment Centre as part of the Customer Service Team. This would include telephone, reception, counter duties, cash handling, and a range of administration and digital marketing duties.
Sell tickets for in-house performances and the external Ticketek system.
Maintain presentation standard of the box office and surrounding areas, considering professional and current techniques.
Assist the Customer Service Coordinator in building ticketed events, reconciliation of performances, and digital and social media marketing content.
Assist with cash management, invoicing, and financial reconciliations.
Ensure professional portrayal of the centre through all telephone, email, and reception contact.
Perform other tasks or duties as directed by the Supervisor which are within the limits of the employee's skill, competence, and training.
Observe requirements of the WHS Legislation, relevant to the job and adhere to AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding WHS.
Observe appropriate AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding day-to-day operations including Equal Employment Opportunity policies, AlburyCity's Dress Code and Standards Policy, and AlburyCity's Code of Conduct.

Employment Conditions
Based on a 38 hour week, with actual days and times being 8.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity's RDO guidelines.
This position may involve work outside normal working hours. Additional hours over the standard 38 hours will attract a time in lieu arrangement or payment of overtime rates as agreed in advance with your supervisor.
You will be required to enrol and study towards a Certificate III in Business. The study component of the course will be primarily completed outside the standard working hours of the position.
This position is a formal traineeship and is regulated by the Apprenticeship & Traineeship Act 2001. Applicants with equivalent industry qualifications are ineligible to apply.
This position is temporary for a period of up to 12 months.
This position requires you to wear a compulsory uniform as per AlburyCity’s Our People Dress Code Standards.
This position involves working in a predominantly indoor environment and using a computer is considered a core component of the role.
This position requires evidence of a current Australian National Police Check.
This position is subject to alcohol and other drug testing.
This position is located at the Albury Entertainment Centre with occasional visits to external sites/depots and the AlburyCity Administration Building as required.

An applicant must not have 50% or more of the identified qualification or a similar or a higher industry qualification completed.

Essential Criteria
Completion of Year 10 or equivalent.
Specialist Knowledge And Skills
Sound computer literacy including an understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite, and an ability to learn and adapt to a variety of software applications.
High level of attention to detail.
Ability to develop skills in telephone and reception areas.
Ability to develop skills in the area of cash handling and receipting.
An understanding of social media and digital marketing with the ability to write and publish professional content to social media platforms.
