What are we looking for?
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Military Compensation practice in our Brisbane office. The position is permanent full time however we are open to hybrid work arrangements after sufficient training.
You will be reporting to a Lawyer, and as one of the support team members, you will help maintain and drive the success of the department. Your energy and drive will be integral in achieving successful outcomes along with your positive approach to your work. This is a not-to-miss opportunity for those who like to take ownership of their work and work hands on with matters. Your responsibilities will include:
* Communicating with clients, lawyers and other professionals
* Arranging appointments and extensive diary management
* Assist with all administration and management of files
* Prepare legal correspondence and filing court documents
* Preparing briefs
* Managing a database and generating reports
* Generating & editing correspondence.
What will you bring?
You will be an experienced Legal Assistant with a passion for social justice and generating positive outcomes for clients. The following experience and skills will ensure your success in this position:
* Previous experience as a legal assistant, with a solid legal background and understanding of Personal Injury or Workers Compensation
* A proven ability in working as part of a team
* A high attention to detail
* Proven time management
* An ability to deal sensitively with clients
* The ability to work independently
* Available to work 38 hours per week, between the hours of 8:30am - 5pm Monday to Friday.
