ABOUT OUR CLIENT & THE ROLE Our client is a rapidly growing player in the proptech space, revolutionizing Australia's $300 billion real estate market through a suite of digital media and agent services platforms.This exciting, full-time role as Financial Reporting Manager will be based in Cremorne, VIC, starting in March 2025.This role will be integral to the company's finance team, focusing on the end-to-end management of annual audits, consolidating financial statements for multiple entities, and collaborating closely with auditors and the Finance Director.It offers the chance to work on impactful projects in a dynamic industry.RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the annual financial audit in coordination with the Finance Director.Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting standards across multiple entities.Collaborate with auditors to streamline financial documentation and enhance audit processes.Draft technical accounting papers on complex topics like Employee Share Option Plans, Business Combinations, and Convertible Notes.Contribute to the development and execution of audit strategies and improve financial reporting processes.Prepare month-end consolidation for management reporting, managing reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and elimination entries.Oversee tax requirements in collaboration with tax agents.Tackle ad hoc finance projects as needed.SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA or CPA qualification.Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with extensive experience in audit and consolidation accounting.Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and audit facilitation.Technical accounting expertise with an ability to interpret and apply standards effectively.High attention to detail and strong prioritization skills in fast-paced environments.Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities at all levels.Experience with Xero and Spotlight reporting tools is a plus, though not essential.
