Your Opportunity
Supervise, guide, motivate, and support the Education Delivery Support team at TAFE Queensland North in providing efficient and effective delivery support to the region's internal and external clients to ensure the region's outcomes are achieved.
This position reports to the Delivery Support Manager – Education Delivery Support.
This is a Temporary, Full-Time opportunity, to 4 April 2025 unless otherwise determined.
The position will be based primarily at Cairns however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and supervise the day to day operations of the Education Delivery Support team ensuring day to day activities align with business operations including: Monitoring the reporting of Electronic Training and Assessment Strategy (eTAS), validation and course review completions.
Monitoring and ensuring the region's quality checks occur prior to results being entered into Student Management System (SMS).
Ensure missing result reports are sent out to relevant portfolios in a timely manner and follow ups occurs.
Liaising with portfolio teams about program information for advertising/selling including current enrolment forms, timetables, room locations, fees, and program information brochures are accurate and up to date.
Ensuring student records including Australian Vocational Education and Training Management Information Statistical Standard (AVETMISS) data are accurate.
Provide guidance, support, and performance management to the Education Delivery Support team to ensure the application of consistent and efficient work processes and equitable workload distribution.
Contribute to improvement in business processes and practices.
Continually review and improve relevant processes and information ensuring compliance with the region's quality system related standards, and participate in the development of new systems and technologies to ensure the region's sustainability goals are being met.
Undertake research and development on matters relating to business functions including managing the process of establishing and maintaining an accurate and up to date database of program and training program information to enhance the service provided to internal and external clients.
Ensuring educational delivery support fulfilment by negotiating and resolving issues in accordance with region's procedures and providing follow-up and feedback to both internal and external clients.
Undertake research and development on matters relating to business functions.
Ensure day to day activities align with business operations.
Contribute to improvement in business processes and practices.
How You Will Be Assessed
Within the context of the role description above, the ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:
Demonstrated ability to supervise the activities of the Education Delivery Support team to effectively and efficiently meet defined outcomes and timelines.
Utilise computerised management information systems to prepare reports and briefings and apply statistical measures to work flows for resourcing, rostering, scheduling, and performance measurement.
Work collaboratively and build and sustain positive relationships with team members and clients to achieve outcomes.
Act professionally at all times, ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures, and contribute to business improvement through the review of systems and procedures.
Displays the initiative, attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging and changing environment.
Highly Desirable Requirements
Recognised qualifications in Business Administration or related discipline would be highly regarded.
