The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing site works including design, quality, EH&S as well as the corresponding documentation. The Project Engineer will report to the Project Manager and be working closely with the Site Manager and the site team. Key Responsibilities Managing the Quality Assurance systems alongside the Project Manager and Site Manager. Managing the ITP process ensuring third party engineering inspections are undertaken. Managing the Design process including coordination between in house design teams, supplier design teams and client consultants. Overseeing the drawing transmittal and approvals process. Reviewing buildability of the works and working with the Project Manager, and the Temporary Works Design Engineers to develop solutions. Reading and interpreting plans, drawings and specifications and ensuring that current information is communicated to the site team. Reviewing revised drawings to identify and highlight any changes and communicating these to the site team while understanding the implications of any changes on current activities and systems. Identifying design or site issues that may result in time delays and working with the Project Manager and Site Manager to find preventative solutions. Managing the project Documentation to ensure the most current documentation is being used and removing superseded documents from active use. Managing EH&S through the use of the Safety Management Plan by creating and modifying SWMS, communicating safety requirements to the site team via toolbox talk meetings, and ensuring that works are carried out according to approved documentation. Key Requirements Formal civil engineering or construction management qualification. Previous construction experience in a building or civil environment (formwork, steel fixing and concrete pump & place will be an advantage). Minimum 5 years’ experience. RMS and B80 experience will be a distinct advantage. Experience working with MS Office, MS Excel, MS Project, and Aconex. Initiative and a strong ability to work autonomously, independently and with minimal supervision. Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise with clients and in house teams. Sound technical ability and able to read and interpret plans, drawings & specifications and can communicate the information to the site team.
