This groundbreaking program aims to revolutionise mental health care by providing early detection and intervention for young individuals (aged 12-25) who are at risk of, or experiencing, a first episode of psychosis.Join us as we embark on this journey.
Together we will transform the landscape of mental health care in Tasmania, ensuring that young people receive the support they need to thrive.About The RoleAs the Clinical Director – headspace Early Psychosis, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing clinical responsibilities and ensuring seamless access to services, working in partnership with the Manager – headspace Early Psychosis to deliver high-quality mental health care.Your key responsibilities will include:Providing clinical leadership to deliver exceptional mental health services to young people within the headspace Early Psychosis frameworkOverseeing professional governance for medical staff within the serviceCollaborating with managers to plan and implement coordinated clinical servicesMaintaining relationships with Tasmania Health to ensure access pathways to emergency departments and inpatient bedsSupporting the EPPIC model of care with high fidelityQualificationsTo excel in this role, you will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and attributes:Qualifications as a medical practitioner registered with AHPRA, coupled with fellowship status in the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of PsychiatristsExperience or qualifications in management and administration (desirable)A thorough understanding of the Tasmanian mental health sector and relevant legislationExtensive experience in clinical psychiatry, with a track record of developing and implementing innovative programs for individuals experiencing mental illnessDemonstrated expertise in medical management, strategic planning, and accreditationEffective communication and leadership skills to educate, lead and inspire multi-disciplinary teamsWhat's in it for you?At EACH you'll be supported to be your best.We provide:Flexible work arrangements to support a positive work-life balanceCompetitive remuneration and conditions including generous leave optionsNot-for-Profit Salary Packaging of up to $15,900 free income tax per year$2,650 additional tax-free money towards meals and entertainmentA variety of opportunities for career progression and professional development via formal and informal training, our leadership pipeline and discipline-specific learningSupport through a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program4 weeks paid annual leave, sick/carers leave, family & domestic violence leave, public holiday substitution policy, and more…About HeadspaceThe headspace program offers an "open door", easily accessible, early intervention service for young people wishing to obtain support for mental health or substance use issues.
