All jobs can be worked flexibly, and we encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people from diverse backgrounds and abilities.THE ROLEA Senior Housing Customer Service Officer (HCSO3) is a highly skilled worker who uses their expertise and knowledge to respond to complex situations, problem solving and decision making associated with the Housing Customer Service Officer (HCSO) role.The HCSO3 operates in consultation with the Team Leaders to provide support and coaching to staff and relevant stakeholders within the maintenance teams. The role includes assisting public housing renters and their advocates, contractors, local housing offices, external agencies and other departmental and government areas over the telephone, via e-mail and through other channels of communication in a timely and effective manner in accordance with policies and guidelines.ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDEAssesses complex client queries for housing services and makes decisions from a range of established policy, procedures and legislative requirements.Acts as a superintendent representative.Exercises financial delegation when raising and authorizing works to head contractors.Support and coach staff and relevant stakeholders within the HCSO teams.HOW TO APPLYAll VPS employees (and ex-VPS employees with extended access to the Jobs and Skills Exchange website) MUST apply via the Jobs and Skills Exchange portal.Applicants are encouraged to apply online.
