About the role
As Head of the Arts at St Mark's Anglican Community School in Hillarys, WA, you will lead a dynamic team to deliver a comprehensive and innovative arts program across multiple disciplines. This full-time, ongoing role is an exciting opportunity to shape the arts strategy and vision for the school, driving student engagement and excellence in the creative arts.
What you'll be doing
* Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Arts faculty, including curriculum development, resource management, and staff development
* Oversee the planning, delivery, and evaluation of Arts programs, ensuring they meet the school's educational objectives and student needs
* Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the Arts team
* Manage budgets, resources, and facilities to support the delivery of high-quality Arts education
* Represent the Arts faculty on the school's leadership team and collaborate with other Heads of Department
* Proactively engage with the school community, including parents and external stakeholders, to promote the Arts and showcase student achievements
What we're looking for
* Extensive experience and a proven track record in Arts education, with a deep understanding of curriculum development and pedagogy
* Strong leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and motivate a team of Arts educators
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
* Demonstrated skills in budget management, resource allocation, and facilities planning
* A passion for the Arts and a commitment to fostering creativity and innovation in education
* Relevant teaching qualifications and registration, as well as appropriate qualifications in Arts or Arts Education
