Symmetrio is seeking an accomplished Engineering Project Manager to lead hardware development projects for our client, a global leader in the medical device industry. The ideal candidate will drive projects throughout the entire Product Life Cycle (PLC), from strategic planning and architectural design to prototype development, rigorous verification and validation, and smooth manufacturing transition. This role requires a strong technical background combined with superior project management expertise.Candidates should be located in the Melbourne, FL area or willing to relocate.Salary Range:$120,000 to $140,000ResponsibilitiesLead and manage 1-3 concurrent development projects from conception through manufacturing releaseDevelop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategiesCreate and track project budgets, ROI analyses, and profitability forecastsFacilitate product requirements development with cross-functional stakeholdersCoordinate and lead design reviews, incorporating feedback from multiple engineering disciplinesManage prototype development cycles and pilot production phasesOversee assembly optimization and test protocol developmentEstablish and maintain verification and validation frameworksCreate and manage risk assessment matrices and mitigation strategiesImplement Design for Excellence (DFx) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)Maintain detailed design documentation and traceability matricesGuide manufacturing teams through product transition phasesFoster accountability and innovation within project teamsChampion project management best practices across the organizationMentor team members in project management principlesLead cross-functional project status reviews and stakeholder communicationsDevelop and track project KPIs and success metricsCoordinate resource allocation across multiple departmentsManage vendor and supplier relationships for prototype and pilot productionEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulationsContribute to continuous improvement of Product Life Cycle processesDrive decisions through data-driven analysis and consensus buildingBachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field)Minimum 5 years' experience in hardware product development, including design, testing, and verification processesProven track record of 3+ years in project management, demonstrating successful project completionDemonstrated success in transitioning complex technical projects from development to manufacturingExtensive experience with Phase Gate Design Process methodologyCertified Scrum Master or equivalent agile project management certificationAdvanced interpersonal and organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to:Lead cross-functional teams effectivelyManage multiple priorities under pressureCommunicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiencesNavigate ambiguity while maintaining project momentumDrive decisions through data-driven analysis and consensus buildingHealth Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
