GPVMO ED Shift information Saturday, 6 January to Monday, 8 January 0800 - 0800 Role information: GP VMO - daily ward rounds 0800 hrs until completed (approx.
1000 hrs) then onsite at hospital until 1700 hrs.
They will then be on-call overnight.
Required to participate in Multidisciplinary Team Meeting on Monday morning at the Hospital.
All presentations to the Hospital or concerns regarding inpatients will be referred to the Doctor for review.
Must have completed eMeds training.
Experience: Emergency, Trauma, Basic Life Support, Simple suturing, ECG interpretation, Catheterisation, sound clinical judgement and communicate appropriately.
On-call requirements: Doctor will be first on-call 24 hours.
Hours required to be on-site: Daily ward rounds 0800 hrs until completed (approx.
1000 hrs) then required to be onsite until 1700 hrs.
Required to participate in Multidisciplinary Team Meeting on Monday morning at the Hospital.
Type of Doctor required: GP VMO with Emergency Skills.
Cover ED and Ward.
Must have eMeds Certificate.
Medicare Provider number requirements: Full billings required - however Refer and Request might be OK if working in Hospital only.
Information on site: The ealth Service is a twenty two bed unit providing Emergency, Acute Care, Medical Imaging and Pathology services.
Our Visiting Medical Officer works Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and is on call after hours for emergencies.
