Exciting Opportunity: Pharmacist in a Private Hospital Setting
The Position
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Pharmacist to join our team at The Friendlies Private Hospital. This unique role combines the best of both worlds – community pharmacy experience and hospital pharmacy duties. You will have the opportunity to interact with patients, provide counselling, and dispense medications in our on-site retail pharmacy, while also gaining valuable experience in ward pharmacy duties within our hospital setting.

The Ideal Candidate

1. Bachelor of Pharmacy (or similar) and successful completion of internship year
2. Current AHPRA Registration
3. Demonstrated experience working as a pharmacist in a community pharmacy setting (hospital experience desirable)
4. Proven experience in conducting customer consultations and counselling
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a high level of professionalism and personal presentation
6. Strong computer literacy, including experience with dispensary software (FRED)

Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) Requirements
It is a mandatory condition of employment that some roles within our hospital require you to be vaccinated, and remain vaccinated during your employment, against some or all of the following vaccine preventable diseases; Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping cough), and Hepatitis.
