About your opportunity:
In this position you will assist the Director of Physiotherapy and Deputy Director of Physiotherapy to professionally, strategically and operationally manage Physiotherapy Services within Cairns Hospital.
About your role:
* Lead change management processes by providing professional leadership in the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols that support, co-ordinate and integrate the continuum of care in the delivery of Physiotherapy Services across Cairns Hospital. This involves engaging in cross-professional consultancy, negotiation and liaison as relevant.
* Work co-operatively, effectively and assist the Director of Physiotherapy to promote optimal service provision and outcomes including assisting and contributing to effective administration and management of resources.
* Utilise high level skills and advanced clinical knowledge within field of expertise to provide clinical supervision for physiotherapy and other staff or students as required.
* Support a positive work culture and lead by example.
* Review physiotherapy clinical practices, procedures and processes, identifying areas for improvement, and lead the development and implementation of initiatives in collaboration with relevant stakeholders that enhance service delivery and support the continuum of care.
* Demonstrate self-insight and awareness of the effect of own actions on others, to promote positive and supportive work environments, relationships and teamwork within the physiotherapy and multidisciplinary teams.
