About the Property
Durham Downs Station, located in the scenic Channel Country of South West Queensland, covers 8,910 km2 and cares for approximately 17,000 cattle. Our dedicated team is enthusiastic, passionate, and loves their work and the animals they care for. Passionate, enthusiastic, and fueled by a genuine love for their work, our team creates an inclusive and respectful environment where everyone's contribution is valued.
About the Role
As the Station Cook, you will report to the Station Manager and be responsible for menu planning, food stores management, and preparing delicious and nutritious home-style meals for our team members and visitors. Your role also involves maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen, ordering supplies, and ensuring kitchen equipment is in good order. Occasional light domestic tasks may be required.
To thrive in this role, you should have demonstrated experience in cooking for small to medium-sized groups, a passion for quality food, knowledge of dietary nutrition and food hygiene practices, and the ability to work safely.
