About the Service
Centrecare’s Homeless Assessment and Referral Service supports individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, helping them access accommodation and support options. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our team, making a real difference in the community.
About the Role
* Provide high-quality intake, assessment, brief intervention, and referrals within the EntryPoint Early Intervention and Prevention model.
* Assist clients in securing housing, accessing emergency accommodation, and navigating the housing system.
* Implement Centrecare’s Therapeutic Framework to ensure consistent service delivery and positive client outcomes.
* Supervise and support staff, manage caseloads, and maintain case documentation and reporting.
* Advocate for clients with key stakeholders and attend appointments in various community settings.
Selection Criteria
* Tertiary qualifications (minimum Bachelor degree - Diploma qualification is not accepted for this role) in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Social Sciences, or a related field.
* Experience working with homelessness services and supporting clients facing complex issues.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in social service industry.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Working on a rostered basis; Monday to Saturday, 9am - 5pm.
* Ability to work full time hours
* A current driver's license
* National Police Clearance
* Working with Children Check (or the ability to obtain one).
