The Role
We are looking for a dynamic HVAC Service Manager based in Sydney to lead and drive business growth while providing technical expertise across a range of HVAC service and maintenance projects.
This role places a strong emphasis on business development, quoting, estimating, and producing high-quality tender documents. If you're skilled in securing maintenance contracts and minor works projects, and have the technical knowledge to back it up, this could be the role for you.
Our client is looking for someone with the ambition and ability to eventually take over the running of the company, in a Managing Director role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Business Development: Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in the HVAC service sector. Focus on winning maintenance contracts and minor works projects to help drive the company’s growth.
* Quoting & Estimating: Provide accurate, competitive quotes and detailed estimates for service contracts, maintenance, and minor works projects.
* Tender Documentation: Lead the preparation and submission of comprehensive and persuasive tender documents
* Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to clients and company technicians
* Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring long-term partnerships and repeat business. Act as the main point of contact for clients regarding technical queries and project progress.
* Team Leadership: Mentor and guide the HVAC service team, ensuring efficient operations, technical excellence, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in an HVAC Service Manager role with a strong focus on business development, particularly in securing maintenance contracts and minor works projects.
* Expertise in quoting, estimating, and preparing detailed and competitive tender documents.
* Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, troubleshooting, and providing technical support when required.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to foster positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
* Solid organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and teams effectively.
* A proactive, solutions-driven approach with a passion for achieving business growth.
