Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Adelaide.
We support our clients through their entire project lifecycle from front-end studies to project execution, then further support them operating the assets, and developing business efficiencies. As the successful candidate, you will:
Take responsibility for the successful delivery of the Electrical Engineering scope of work
Provide leadership and create a highly committed and aligned team environment focused on delivering positive project outcomes for the client
Develop discipline design and associated engineering deliverables to support feasibility studies and detailed engineering
Provide input into capital estimates and project schedules
Provide key discipline input to multi-discipline project teams
Provision of on-site construction and commissioning technical support.
You will bring to this role:
A degree in engineering with demonstrated experience commensurate with CPEng status
Design and engineering experience in the mining and metals, infrastructure or energy sectors (or similar heavy industries)
Experience in the investigation, planning and supervision of construction works and/or maintenance activities in operational facilities
Be competent in performing electrical studies (e.g. load flow, arc fault, protection grading) including the use of power system modelling packages (i.e. SKM PTW, ETAP); experience in field instrumentation and industrial control systems would also be advantageous.
Have current knowledge of industry or regulatory standards and study criteria pertinent to electrical engineering, ensuring compliance of design work with all relevant engineering standards and internal procedures
Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external clients on a technical and interpersonal level
