Primary Connect+ is the technology-driven commercial arm of Primary Connect. Our team works together to create value in providing end-to-end supply chain solutions to over 1,300 food and retail customers.
The Opportunity
This role is critical to the success of PC+’s growth strategy targeting significant growth by both strengthening and scaling existing service offerings and building new capabilities to
maintain growth momentum in the longer term.
What you’ll do
* You’ll drive transformative initiatives to position PC+ for continued success. This includes expansion, scaling international and warehouse services, establishing a cutting-edge rail freight forwarding service, and strengthening the core domestic network.
* Drive the strategic growth of PC+, aligning with the broader ecosystem strategy of the Group.
* Strengthen and optimise the core domestic transport offering, focusing on safety and compliance, capacity, reliability, sustainable partnerships, optimization, and resilience.
* Build and mature the capabilities (people, process, and technology) to support a scaled warehouse and international services.
* Continue to strengthen, evolve and scale PC+ Rail Freight Forwarding offer
* Develop and deliver a commodity specific network strategy
* Maintain close alignment between network capacity and capability to support the seamless delivery of targeted growth opportunities.
What you'll bring
* You’ll have 10+ years of seasoned Senior Leadership experience at General Manager or Director level, demonstrating a proven track record of influencing, strategic thinking, and execution.
* Possess sharp commercial/business acumen, coupled with the ability to operate effectively within complex organisations at all levels.
* Proven operational knowledge and expertise in identifying optimised flow paths for enhanced productivity and flow. A natural leader with a passion for coaching and developing high-performing teams.
* Tertiary qualifications (MBA desirable).
* Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, underpinned by a genuine desire to create value for others.
