The Role
We are seeking an individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of the children in our community. The successful applicant will have exemplary teaching skills, be highly motivated and enthusiastic, with the ability to work in a team environment and commit to both play-based learning and explicit teaching.
The ideal candidate will possess high interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with staff members, particularly with the new Scaling Up Success project. They will also have knowledge and experience to embed whole school programs, including InitiaLit, Prime Mathematics and Positive Behaviour Supports.
We are looking for a team player with an enthusiastic approach to engaging students to do their best, and a willingness to learn and adopt a trauma responsive approach and restorative practices. You will also need to show data-driven teaching practices, and a good understanding of how to establish a positive classroom environment, fostering high care and expectations.
Ideally, you will have a strong understanding of the core frameworks: National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework. The successful Early Childhood Educator will provide differentiated and individualised instruction, incorporating proven strategies to support students with special education needs and experience or a desire to work with students from Aboriginal families and promote pride in self and culture.
