We are an Equal Opportunity employer.The role of a local Service Technician involves supporting customers' operations by carrying out efficient diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to our range of state-of-the-art mobile equipment used in the mining and construction industries.Your proactive approach to ensuring machine performance will assist our customers in improving their productivity and the success of their operations, expanding our customer base and the growth of the support team.Key Responsibilities:Carry out general mechanical duties, maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis work on all Sandvik Mining equipment.Perform mechanical maintenance duties as per maintenance plans while upholding the integrity of the equipment and ensuring safe operation is not compromised.Provide feedback for efficient maintenance planning improvements.Maintain records of parts usage, equipment monitoring, and time records.Adhere to all policies & procedures, especially EHS policies.Requirements:Mount Isa local or currently residing in Mount Isa.Australian recognized Mechanical Trade Certification is required.Demonstrated previous experience with Trucks, Loaders, and Drilling mobile mining equipment would be a distinct advantage.Strong and proven safety culture.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong customer service focus and motivation to achieve targets and goals.Proactive, self-motivated, and demonstrate initiative.Basic computer literacy.Class C Manual Driver's License.Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, reference checks, police checks, and regular onsite drug & alcohol testing.What We Offer:Favorable Superannuation contribution above statutory requirement.An Employee Benefits Program including salary sacrifice options, a company-wide bonus scheme, and Length of Service Recognition program.Company funded paid parental leave which includes superannuation contributions during the leave period.Training opportunities for employees – from internal programs to contributions towards external studies.A Sandvik Wellness Program for employees who want to improve their health and wellbeing.We understand the importance of work-life balance and provide paid parental leave to support our employees and their families.
