“Good Luck” is one of the quickest growing shopping mall and wholesaler/retailer of local & imported products at Blacktown area within last few years. In order to further stimulate our company’s long-term development, we are now looking for a skilled and an experienced RETAIL BUYER to join our dynamic team to selects and buys goods from our vendors, and resale in our supermarket.
In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing a wide range of fresh produce items and daily necessities for our supermarket clients. Your focus will be on building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, negotiating exclusive deals, and ensuring that our clients receive the highest quality products.
Position: Permanent Full Time
Hours of Work: 9:30am-5:30pm, Monday to Friday
Salary Package: 76,000+super/per year
Requirements:
* Diploma of Business is a must;
* At least 1 year full-time retail buyer working experience in fresh produce buying, sourcing, or related retail goods buying in supermarket retail environment is a must;
* Fluent in English and Mandarin is a must;
* Have professional knowledge in supply chain management, procurement, communication or a related field;
* Have working experiences in Asian company (China, Singapore, etc.) is preferred;
* Sensitive to market movements. Ability to analyze and evaluate market research data;
* Strong communication skills;
* Effective management and leadership skills;
Roles and Responsibility
* Monitoring sales data and inventory levels. Stay informed about related trade, vendors and overall market trends, price fluctuations, and new product developments to keep Good Luck competitive.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with fresh produce suppliers, ensuring access to high-quality products and exclusive deals. Negotiate with product suppliers in relation to purchase, promotion and supply. Put together solid business plans.

* Formulate and control the price of all related products, carry out the plan and strategy of marketing, promotion and products display in stages, and follow up the implementation.

* Maintain barrier-free communication with company’s management. Ensuring that long-term purchasing and sales strategies align with overall business goals and management plans.

* Analysing sales data to forecast future demand and plan purchasing accordingly, aligning with company budget and targets. Set the next phase of work plan and work goals according to historical budget needs.

* Monitoring industry trends and consumer behaviour to identify new product opportunities and expand product ranges. Grasp consumer trends, the quantity, style, and quality of products should be adjusted depends on movement of customer trends.

* Conducting thorough quality assessments of received goods, including packaging and expiration dates, to ensure compliance with company standards;

* Evaluating supplier performance and negotiating agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality assurance.

* Maintaining accurate records of all procurement activities, contracts, and supplier relationships.
