Reporting to the COO you will be joining a small rapidly growing team of intelligent, passionate engineers.

The Role
Designing, optimising and sourcing the elements of heliostats for mass manufacture, including:
1. Designing and optimising structural steel support elements, brackets, actuators, and other fixed/moving parts for robustness and cost-effectiveness.
2. Optimising components for automated robotic mass manufacturing, reducing costs, and improving efficiency.
3. Designing for fast, low-cost installation in the field.
4. Involvement in control system design, including PCBs and embedded hardware.
5. Ensuring seamless integration between mechanical, electrical, and software components.
6. Collaborating with local and international suppliers to drive product development and ensure manufacturability.
7. Applying QA/QC methodologies to ensure reliable production and deployment.
8. Managing relationships with third-party manufacturers to ensure quality and cost targets are met.
You
* Qualifications in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar, likely with 7+ years experience
* Have a very organised and structured approach to your work
* Are on top of all the details: Always
* Not afraid to work quickly and to make and own decisions
* Absolutely ensure that nothing is missed, and an understanding of QA/QC methodologies
* Strong and demonstrably successful experience in designing for and organising mass manufacture, and establishing supplier networks. Industries include aerospace, automotive, food, consumer goods
* Experience with PV single axis projects desirable
* Enjoy driving the relationship and product production from suppliers
* Excited by the opportunity and experienced in working closely with 3rd party, local and international manufacturers
* Have a dedication to, and passion for delivery
* Have excellent English language written and verbal communication skills
