Mayfield Baptist Church is seeking an enthusiastic Facilities Manager to care for the Bulkirra facility and its tenants. The ideal candidate will be skilled in building maintenance and tenant management, and able to collaborate with the MBC Pastoral staff to create and lead ministry and outreach opportunities on-site for Bulkirra’s tenants.
Summary of Position
The Bulkirra Facilities Manager oversees the care and maintenance of the Bulkirra facility, ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of residents and the property. This role involves liaising between the church, tenants, and managing agents, addressing tenant concerns, coordinating building maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The manager is available outside of normal working hours, manages minor repairs, and works closely with the Mayfield House Facilities Manager. Additionally, they support church mission/outreach activities with tenants, particularly during Easter and Christmas, and provide regular reports to the church’s Property and Finance Team (PFT).
This is recognised as a part-time position at 30 hours per week.
Note:
This position is open to be an equivalent of a 1.0 FTE if the applicant would be willing to take responsibility for cleaning the public areas of the facility.
The successful applicant is expected to live permanently on-site.
