About the Opportunity
As an Asphalt Estimator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of all asphalt and civil construction projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for asphalt and civil works projects, covering all aspects like materials, labor, equipment, and overheads.
* Reviewing project plans, specifications, and site conditions to identify scope, risks, and opportunities for cost savings.
* Preparing and submitting tenders and quotations to clients, ensuring compliance with company policies and contractual requirements.
* Working with the procurement team to source materials and subcontractors for specific projects.
* Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
About You
* You will have at least 2 years experience as an asphalt estimator.
* You will possess strong knowledge of asphalt production, roadworks, and civil construction processes.
* You will have a solid understanding of construction cost estimation, tendering, and contract management.
* You will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of liaising effectively with clients, suppliers, and project teams.
* You will have high attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
* You will have strong analytical skills with the ability to identify cost-effective solutions and manage project budgets.
