What does a civil engineer in Community Development do?
Your day-to-day tasks could include:
* Working alongside a team of engineers, designers and project managers to deliver quality engineering and technical activities to achieve successful projects.
* Working alongside specialist flooding and drainage experts delivering flood impact risk assessments and water cycle management studies to support infrastructure and residential developments.
* Participate in meetings with clients and other consultants, and contractors to facilitate effective project coordination.
* Complete design calculations and records within time and budget restraints.
* Gain experience in site inspections and construction contracts.
* Utilise industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D to create and modify engineering plans in a digital format.
* Contribute to the preparation of reports and other essential engineering documentation.
* Conduct site visits to observe and monitor construction activities, providing valuable insights for ongoing design projects.
About You
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
* Passion for learning and problem-solving.
* Eligible to work in Australia.
* Currently in final year of degree or 1-2 years post-graduation.
