Work Type: Full Time Location: Regional NSW Immediate Start Permanent position available Monday to Friday Roster Alchemy Recruitment is currently assisting a leading coal mining company who are looking for a Reliability Engineer to work in an open cut coal mine located in the Hunter Valley. About the role: Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, this role is to support the Reliability Department by conducting analytical work to be used to identify, quantify, and implement defect elimination activities to improve the overall performance and ensure all performance targets for Mining equipment and Coal handling & the processing plant. You can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include: Complete investigation and weekly reporting of downtime events and the diagnosis of root causes, to assist in providing permanent rectification of defects within the plants and identify key business risks. Conduct investigations through the application of a structured process. Develop Standard jobs, Procedures, and continually review and optimise maintenance strategy. Coordinate plant equipment improvement trials. Review criticality analysis to ensure plant events are documented, tracked and prioritized through risk review. Identify the plant bottlenecks and facilitate the improvements for reducing unit costs. What are we looking for? The experience and skillset best suited to this position includes: Bachelor or Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum of 5 years in the mining or heavy industry or mineral processing environments. Strong working knowledge of Scada and/or Mine management and/or Fleet management and/or Availability & Loss management systems. Advanced level proficiencies in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Word. Current Unencumbered New South Wales "C" Class Drivers Licence. Preferred Working knowledge of Maintenance Planning and CMMS. Familiarity with the Mines Safety and Inspection Regulations. Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards.
