The Bankwest Credit Strategy, Models and Insights Crew is responsible for managing credit risk for all retail lending products. This crew consists of multiple teams that cover systems, reporting, modelling, valuations, and credit strategy.
Finding Your Fit:
In the Unsecured Credit Strategy team, you will collaborate closely with products, finance, compliance, and technology to develop data-driven solutions that align with business objectives. You'll leverage your ability to think strategically and provide risk management solutions for the business.
Your primary responsibilities will include in-life Credit Card Portfolio management strategies. This involves supporting the business to manage arrears, building strategies to decide on high-risk credit card transactions, improving data frameworks, and reporting.
Your Impact & Contribution:
This role is accountable for designing, developing, monitoring, and implementing end-to-end credit strategies across all aspects of the Credit Card life cycle. The role will support management in identifying, developing, and implementing tools to grow the business within risk appetite. This includes providing analytics to support these changes and following the change management process to implement system changes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Regularly review Key Risk Indicators and monitoring dashboards to proactively identify emerging risks and recommend proactive measures to mitigate risk.
* Collaborate closely with Consumer Finance product teams to structure appropriate credit solutions.
* Improve the customer experience by applying analytics skills and data analysis techniques to identify trends and provide insights.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments to help support and enhance risk management strategies.
* Take ownership of developing the monthly credit card portfolio reporting via a Tableau dashboard.
We're Looking for Individuals with:
* A strong analytical mindset who can transform data into business insights and solutions.
* Proficiency in analytical tools such as SAS, SQL, Excel, and Tableau.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively.
* Banking industry experience is highly regarded but not essential.
Strong planning and time management skills with the ability to deal with conflicting priorities and upcoming due dates are also required.
