The team is dedicated to creating a customer-focused and collaborative environment, empowering decision-makers in the delivery of innovative education and research.The RoleThe Manager, Finance Business Partnering (Central, Offices & Capital) will collaborate with the Head of Financial Performance and the Manager, Finance Business Partnering (Colleges & Research) to oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analytics for the University, supporting strategic and operational decisions.Key Responsibilities:Owning and coordinating the development and ongoing enhancement of financial performance, budgeting, and forecasting systems and processes as well as the delivery of overall financial performance outcomes.Production of reports for the consolidated University's financial performance, including routine reporting to Executive and Governance Committees.Develop and lead a high-performing and service-oriented culture.Lead a team to work with Budget Holders and respective members of the University Executive to ensure delivery of strategic plans and outcomes within operational budgets.Contribute and maintain the design of financial models, data analysis, and reports.Proactively plan, manage, and report the University's cash position, including assessment of funding requirements and investment opportunities.What You'll Bring to This Role:Degree or other tertiary qualification, with over 10 years experience in financial performance management or related disciplines.Full professional member of a recognised Australian or International equivalent accounting body.Substantial experience of successful leadership of people in the workplace and including building high-performing teams, managing performance and creating effective communication and consultation processes.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability in developing and delivering high impact, high quality and insightful financial performance management advice and reporting.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to consult, negotiate and liaise collaboratively and cooperatively with diverse groups of people.Strategic planning, financial analysis, budgeting, financial planning and management reporting experience, including use of relevant tools.Substantial experience in operational and consolidated budgeting and forecasting.Applicants should refer to the Position Description for further details on the work requirements, duties, skills and experience required for this role.
