The Role: Technician
You will join our UVX team at HMAS Stirling as a MU90 Technician and play a critical role in ensuring the quality, consistency, and safety of our work delivery through day-to-day technical support across diverse maintenance areas.
As a key member of our Maintenance Team, you will contribute your skills to engineering projects, assist with the development of the MU90 Light Weight Torpedo and Prime Item Assembly Work, and embark on a journey to become a certified MU90 Technician within 18-24 months.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Maintenance of Torpedo items
* Depot level launch preparation and refurbishment activities for the MU90 LWT & PDTR
* Routine and corrective maintenance of the Support and Test Equipment
Your Skills:
* Technical or Trade Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Trades (or equivalent)
* Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to write clear, concise documents containing technical details
* Experience working in a Health Safety Environment (HSE) with knowledge of safe work practices
