About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Executive Assistant to provide critical support in our Aboriginal Justice division.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and executive support to two Deputy Secretaries, demonstrating initiative and a strong commitment to the smooth running of their offices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provides quality assurance for incoming briefs and correspondence
* Represents the Deputy Secretaries' offices in a highly professional manner with internal and external stakeholders
* Ledership role for Executive Assistants across Aboriginal Justice and Police, Racing, Victims and Coordination groups
About You
We are looking for someone with proven experience in providing executive support to senior executives within a large organisation and with limited supervision in a sensitive and fast-paced environment.
Sound knowledge of government processes, policies, and procedures, as well as understanding of public sector accountability is essential.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in providing quality assurance for briefs, letters, and emails using clear, concise, and grammatically correct language
* Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with people across the department and VPS
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of and ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal communities
Qualifications and Selection Criteria
A qualification in administration or a similar discipline is desirable but not mandatory.
