Your new role
As a Pharmacist, you will be an essential member of the pharmaceutical team, reporting directly to the Pharmacist Lead. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe and effective management of pharmaceuticals for patients under our care. You will play a crucial role in medication dispensing, patient counselling, and adherence to regulatory standards.

You are a dedicated pharmacist with a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care. Your effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team allow you to provide exceptional pharmaceutical care. You are detail-oriented and passionate about continuous learning and improvement in pharmacy practice.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate evidence-based practices, cultural sensitivity, and trauma-informed care principles into the program framework.
Monitor and review patients progress regularly, adjusting intervention plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
Medication Dispensing:
* Accurately prepare and dispense medications according to prescriptions and established protocols.
* Ensure proper labelling and storage of all pharmaceuticals in compliance with regulations.
* Patient Counselling:
* Provide medication counselling to patients, ensuring understanding of medication use, potential side effects, and adherence.
* Address any questions or concerns regarding medications and provide appropriate educational resources.
Quality Assurance:
Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and drug utilization reviews to enhance safety and efficacy in medication use.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the drug formulary in collaboration with the Pharmacist Lead.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
* Current AHPRA registration as a pharmacist.
* Minimum of 1-2 years of post-graduate experience, preferably in a clinical or institutional pharmacy setting.
* Strong understanding of pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards of practice.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
