You'll actively engage with residents to help design and implement individual Diversional Therapy Plans incorporating various Leisure and Lifestyle programs to support, challenge and enhance psychological, social, emotional, spiritual, cognitive and physical wellbeing. A positive “can-do” attitude is essential for this role, as is the ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams to ensure our residents receive the very best in holistic care.Some of your responsibilities may include:Assist with the assessment of individual needs and interests for the development and implementation of individual plans.Assist with the trial of new developments and innovative approaches to Leisure & Lifestyle programs.Continually evaluate resident's plans and incorporate new approaches and strategies as appropriate.Contribute to the compliance and accreditation outcomes in relation to the Leisure and Lifestyle program.Support the involvement of volunteers and other staff in Leisure & Lifestyle programs.What will you bring to the role?Certificate IV in Leisure & Health or equivalent (desirable).Previous experience in a similar role.You will have an understanding of Aged Care and Residents' rights and responsibilities.You are dedicated to caring for older people to live their best lives.You will work well within a team environment and have a friendly approachable manner.Strong attention to detail and outstanding communication skills.Join Southern Cross Care QLD and be part of a community where compassion and empathy accompany the delivery of exceptional care to our residents every day.How can you apply?If you believe you have the qualifications and experience needed to fill this role and are ready to make a difference and help us grow communities where best lives are lived, then we'd love to hear from you.
