About the role
The Direct Care Worker (Residential) will assist in providing a direct client service to residents of the Residential Care Home in Loxton. Loxton District Nursing Home and Hostel for the Aged is a functional and modern facility where residents who require high-level care can enjoy comprehensive services including specialised dementia care. Working within a fantastic community environment, you will be accountable to the Nurse Unit Manager and work in collaboration with health professionals and be part of a multidisciplinary team. Primarily, your duties will involve providing direct care including bed making, personal hygiene and grooming, maintenance of mobility/dexterity, cleaning of equipment, transportation of clients, and providing input into client assessment. A keen learner, you will consolidate your knowledge and skills and develop in capability through continuous professional development, training and experience.
