Our purpose is ‘ creating sustainable connected communities Description ABOUT THE POSITION This permanent full-time position is part of a close-knit team of qualified underground Cable Jointers and experienced Machine Operators and Labourers providing quality construction services across all power distribution networks. The working hours do vary according to our customer requirements. You will get exposed to the trade of Cable Jointing and will learn under direct supervision of our awesome, highly skilled and dedicated Jointers. Daily duties will include but not limited to: Install, route, and secure cables in accordance with design plans, engineering drawings, and client specifications Installation of conduit, sand, cover slabs and other types of mechanical protection Prepare construction sites for cable installation, including trenching, digging, and preparing conduit pathways as needed Ensure proper excavation procedures are followed while adhering to safety standards Excavation of turning points, joint bays and kiosks as required Skills And Experiences ABOUT YOU You may have been working as a Trades Assistant / Labourer for some time and have been waiting for the opportunity to kick start your trades career. You are values-driven, prefer working as part of a team, working at a fast pace whilst having lots of fun at work. Must have a valid HR driver's license, White Card and will also hold a 10tonne Crane ticket, be prepared to undergo pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing, and don't mind working out in the elements to get the job done.
