Let’s talk about the role and responsibilities
As a Salesforce Developer/support engineers, you will focus on managing and performing the deployment and refresh of Salesforce environments in accordance with our SOPs. The role is responsible to setting up new Sandboxes for development teams. You will also be responsible for automating and optimizing our Salesforce deployment processes. This role requires a deep understanding of both Salesforce and DevOps practices, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure. As a Salesforce Developer/ support engineer, you maintain current knowledge of Salesforce best practices and recommend beneficial improvements. You’ll be:
* Deployments: Execute deployments, run pipelines, execute pre and post deployment steps for Salesforce production and non-production environments.
* Refresh and retrofit. Perform Salesforce environment refreshes and retrofit activities for managed non-production environments.
* Technical Support: Provide expert-level support for Salesforce applications, including troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving technical issues.
* Stakeholder Management. Liaise with development teams for deployment activities.
* Issue Resolution. Liaise with the Salesforce Platform Support team to resolve issues.
* System Maintenance: Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and enhancements aligned to our SOPs to ensure optimal performance and reliability of the Salesforce platform.
* Configuration & Customization: Assist in configuring and customizing Salesforce to meet business requirements. Implement changes and updates based on evolving needs.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of issues, resolutions, system configurations, and changes.
* Continuous improvement: Staying updated on Salesforce best practices, new features, and industry trends to recommend improvements and enhancements that can benefit the organization and improve how we operate.
* Knowledge Management: Advise the Knowledge Officer of new Knowledge or Artefact Requirements
* Other items. Release note reviews, peer reviews, code reviews to support quality stage gates for deployments
* ADO ticket management for environment and deployment activities
Let’s talk about your capability and experience.
* Experience: Proven experience with Salesforce development and DevOps practices. Prior experience in a Salesforce DevOps Engineer or similar role is preferred.
* Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Salesforce platform, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, and Salesforce APIs. Proficiency with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and automation frameworks.
* Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively to help propose enterprise-wide solutions.
* Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users and provide clear instructions.
* Australian Citizenship is Mandatory.
