ARC are seeking a motivated individual to join our Wodonga branch in an Operator role.
As an Operator, you will have the opportunity to join a small, high performing team of 8 to achieve KPIs and drive a safety-first culture while gaining experience in steel processing, unitisation and distribution. The working hours for this role will be from 7:am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, with some overtime available during busier periods.
You will also be supported by the Australian Reinforcing Company in acquiring relevant competencies and tickets (such as Overhead Crane) required to manage your role as an Operator, while receiving continuous mentoring from the leadership team to develop your skills further.
Your key duties will include:
1. Championing safety procedures to the highest standard
2. Operating bending and cutting machinery for bar, steel and mesh products
3. Unitising product for distribution
4. Forklift and overhead crane operation including pick/packing, loading, and unloading trucks
5. Involvement in process improvement initiatives

This is a physical, fast-paced, high-volume role that will require attention to detail and time management skills to meet KPIs.
Further requirements of the position include:
6. Driver’s licence (essential)
7. Forklift licence (essential), with experience (preferred)
8. Good mechanical aptitude
9. A background in steel or timber manufacturing including cabinetry or joinery (preferred)
10. An enthusiastic, self-motivated, and reliable approach to your work
11. A safety-focused mindset
