About the role: As a Psychologist, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing evidence-informed therapy (e.g., CBT, ACT, DBT, Play Therapy, Trauma-Informed Therapy) for children and young adults on the autism spectrum and/or other developmental disabilities within the NDIS environment. The services will be based onsite at the AASS purpose-built clinic and through individualised school, home, and community-based programs. The Psychologist is an experienced psychologist who applies expertise in clinical and professional skills, supporting the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of quality clinical work. You will have the opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team of registered and provisional psychologists, and other therapists including OTs, Speech Pathologists, Music Therapists, and Art Therapists. About You: Interested? This may be your next exciting new role if you have: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Psychology and Membership with the Australian Psychological Society. Current registration with AHPRA. 1-3 years of experience working as a psychologist. Demonstrated experience working with autistic children and young people and/or other complex mental health presentations (including developmental trauma) or other developmental disabilities. An innovative and flexible approach to psychology intervention, while implementing evidence-based practice within a multidisciplinary team. Ability to work in a role that is diverse and involves working across multiple settings (e.g. Clinic, Community, and School based). Knowledge of relevant legislation and policy/procedures in relation to disability and child protection. Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check. Current Provide First Aid Certificate and NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate. Current Australian Driver's License, access to a fully insured vehicle and willingness to travel as required. Contractors are required to have their own ABN and Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurances. Committed to ongoing professional development and learning. Experience working with CALD communities, parents, and within the not-for-profit sector is desirable.
