About the role
As an Inspector in Metropolitan Construction
Compliance, you will be responsible for:
1. Undertaking proactive site inspections, responding to customer requests, completing preliminary incident investigations, delivering presentations, and working with major industry stakeholders to improve safety standards.
2. Providing advice regarding safe work practices and how to comply with work health and safety legislation.
3. Producing high quality reports to confirm your actions.
4. Ensuring internal administrative compliance by completing travel, expense, and time keeping records.
5. Contributing to a positive, supportive, and fun workplace.
About You
6. Equivalent relevant qualifications and experience in the building industry and a working understanding of safety requirements applicable to construction.
7. Strong communication skills to engage and influence key stakeholders to improve regulatory outcomes.
8. High level written communication skills and an ability to understand comprehensive and/or technical reports.
9. Well established resilience skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
10. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a timely manner.
11. Demonstrated experience in coordinating programs or projects of work.
12. Demonstrated knowledge and use of digital technology.
13. Work a 38-hour working week, including some weekends and participate in the After-Hours Emergency Response Service
14. Receive an attractive salary package along with the required tools of the trade, including a vehicle with access to private use (currently at a cost of approximately $210 per fortnight)
15. Be able to access flexible working conditions within operational requirements
Essential requirements
16. Ability to travel, work remotely and out of usual business hours
17. Hold a NSW ‘C’ class drivers' licence with a satisfactory safe driving record and a requirement to maintain the safe driving record throughout employment
18. Satisfactory criminal record check
19. Satisfactory medical assessment capacity regarding physical and psychological impacts of the inherent duties of the role

Salary Grade Inspector, with the base salary for this role startingat $108610 base plus superannuation
