The Role Our client is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our Finance team. This full-time, permanent position is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about ensuring seamless payroll operations. Key Responsibilities Efficiently manage and deliver end-to-end payroll for 183 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant legislation. Calculate, check, and process commissions, bonuses, and maintain commission statements. Process superannuation payments for all employees on a monthly basis, including salary sacrifice contributions. Accurately calculate, report, and pay PAYG withholding and Payroll Tax by due dates. Handle annual payroll tasks such as PAYG Payment Summaries, Taxable Payments Reports, FBT, Q Leave, Payroll Tax Annual Returns, and assist with WGEA reporting and year-end audits. Resolve payroll-related inquiries promptly and accurately, providing exceptional support to employees. Maintain and manage employee records, including onboarding, offboarding, and updating payroll data. Reconcile payroll accounts and generate detailed reports for management. Collaborate with the broader finance team and contribute to shared responsibilities as needed. To excel in this role, you will possess: Proven experience as a Payroll Officer or in a similar position. Comprehensive knowledge of payroll legislation, including tax and superannuation. Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities. Excellent time management, organisational, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) at an intermediate level. Experience with payroll systems such as Jobpac, Salesforce, or Framework (highly desirable).
