About the Role:
DFP Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our Federal client's team. This pivotal role requires a dynamic individual who can innovate, build, and maintain advanced data solutions. The Senior Data Analyst will take ownership of the Client's data analytics, empowering project teams and driving informed business decisions.
Key Technical Skills:
1. Utilise R, Python, SAS, SQL/PL SQL, and MS Excel for data analytics, employing statistical models or industry-standard tools.
2. Construct and execute SQL queries for data analysis, providing relational database expertise.

3. Provide expert insights across diverse program areas.
4. Use programmatic and quantitative methods to identify patterns in large datasets, applying statistical and mathematical analysis to address intelligence questions.
5. Conduct in-depth quantitative analysis of complex business scenarios to enhance system performance and efficiency.
6. Evaluate business processes through detailed data analysis, identifying discrepancies and creating new features as needed.
7. Apply advanced computer modeling and database tools to conduct comprehensive analyses.
8. Develop self-service data solutions, tools, and capabilities for data consumers.
9. Respond promptly to data and product-related inquiries to support business and technical teams.
10. Translate business needs into designs for tools, techniques, metrics, and dashboards for data visualization.
11. Develop and implement tools to monitor and report on data quality.
12. Uphold data quality management principles, including metadata, lineage, and business definitions.
13. Assist Tech teams with managing security mechanisms and data access governance.
14. Continuously refine business intelligence solutions to deliver maximum value.
15. Design, code, debug, test, document, and support server-based applications like SQL, aligned with business requirements.
16. Transform data into actionable insights for informed business decisions.
17. Offer advanced triage support to stakeholders and product teams, ensuring effective issue resolution.
18. Deeply understand existing data sources, their interrelationships, and limitations to support comprehensive dashboard development.
19. Present complex concepts and information in an accessible and succinct manner to non-specialist audiences.
20. Foster strong working relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate data collection, review, analysis, and reporting.
21. Identify opportunities for improving data capture, linkage, transformation, and flow.
22. Provide expert advice on policy, problem-solving, and issue management for stakeholders.
23. Ensure compliance with legislative, financial, and administrative frameworks, and agency guidelines.
24. Take ownership of team outcomes, monitor progress, and deliver quality results.
25. Recommend strategic directions and consider broader agency implications in decision-making.
26. Manage competing priorities effectively to achieve team and project goals.
27. Implement change and handle workplace ambiguity with confidence.
28. Contribute to innovation and business improvement strategies.
29. Engage in risk assessment and management activities.
