Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Role required to focus on the specific needs of the DG West business.
* Inducting all employees and subcontractors, making sure to complete verification of competencies on drivers with MC, HC & HR Licenses - Regional travel will be required
* Verifying heavy vehicle licenses and experience of employees and contractors
* Provide direction and support to supervisors and managers to allow continuous improvement
* Develop training needs analysis to ensure all aspects of driver competency are covered while undertaking workplace assessments and audits
* Participate in incident investigations as a subject matter expert (SME for Load Restraint, CoR, Mass Management, Fatigue etc.)
* Ensure compliance with all relevant workplace health & safety requirements and road transport laws
Skills & Experience:
* Cert IV Training and Assessing with demonstratable experience in both in classroom & in field engagement.
* Notable and demonstrable experience in Heavy Vehicle Driving and Dangerous Goods operations are high desirable
* Hold Current Licenses - MC, HRWL (LF), DGL, DGSC and C1 Explosives
* High levels of written and verbal communication
* Lastly, you will have a true passion for training and mentoring, wanting to see people reach their true potential in the field
