About the Role:
This role reports directly to the CEO and oversees the largest division of the organisation following significant growth and expansion.
The Executive General Manager will form part of the senior leadership team and be responsible for a varied portfolio of 15 government funded programs relating to Apprenticeships, Employment Services, Scholarships, Grants, Community, Youth and Health Services.
In addition to delivering outsourced human services within strict contractual frameworks and driving performance in changing political landscapes, the Executive General Manager will also have an appetite for growth and explore new business opportunities that align with the organisation's mission, values and purpose.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned commercial leader with an entrepreneurial spirit and deep understanding of the not-for-profit sector.
Candidates must be resilient, agile and collaborative leaders with a commitment to fostering team development and succession planning.
Adaptability and ability to thrive in the hands-on, mission-driven environment of the not-for-profit sector are essential.
Key Responsibilities:

* Navigate complex B2G/government tendering processes
* Implement change management initiatives effectively

* Analyse financial data and create budgets
* Grasp the essentials of multiple government contracts
Requirements:
* Extensive commercial business experience in a similar strategic role
* Proven experience with B2G/government tendering processes
* Demonstrated ability to lead change management initiatives
* Strong leadership capability and experience in developing high-performing teams
* Advanced numeracy and accountancy skills
* Awareness of the not-for-profit sector and willingness to be hands-on
Preferred Qualifications:
* Familiarity with employment services or apprenticeship programs
* Broad and diversified commercial background
Working Conditions:
The role will be based in Brisbane or the Gold Coast with some flexibility to work from home occasionally.
Interstate travel with occasional overnight stays will be required.
