Purposeful work with genuinely good people. That's refreshing. We have an exciting opportunity available for a Compliance Manager – Gas & Metering. As Compliance Manager – Gas & Metering, you will lead the compliance function for AusNet's Gas & Metering line of business. With a dotted line to the EGM Gas & Metering, you will be a trusted business partner to the Gas & Metering Leadership Team and the Gas & Metering team more broadly, supporting them in managing and monitoring their compliance obligations and delivering strong compliance performance. You will also play a key role in promoting a culture of compliance across AusNet. With a hybrid split (Office/WFH), this role is based in Southbank, Melbourne and is part of the Compliance, Risk & Corporate Affairs team. This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to: Being a key point of contact and representing AusNet in managing the ongoing compliance relationship with the regulators, including responding to inquiries, queries and information requests. Preparing papers for and presenting to internal governance and leadership forums on compliance performance and issues. Overseeing accurate, clear and concise compliance advice by the Gas & Metering Compliance team, working with the Legal and Regulation teams, as appropriate. Supporting the Gas & Metering Leadership Team and the broader Gas & Metering team in the implementation and monitoring of compliance obligations, including providing training and guidance materials. Reporting to regulators in accordance with their reporting processes and timing requirements, including timely breach reporting. Keeping abreast of trends and developments in compliance, identifying and communicating issues and risks in a timely manner. Supporting compliance with the relevant ring-fencing obligations of the Gas & Metering line of business. You don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of: Experience in a similar compliance role preferred. Experience leading teams to deliver strong outcomes. Strong compliance knowledge and the ability to understand the potential impact of regulatory change on business activities. Strong stakeholder/client management, interpersonal and negotiation skills. Proven ability to work under pressure and to a high standard. Excellent oral and written communications skill. Attention to detail and curious mindset. While not a requirement to have worked in compliance or energy utilities, a genuine interest in the energy utilities sector would be advantageous. A real place to belong.
