The role:
As the Program Manager for BaptistCare Refresh Retreats, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, co-ordination and delivery of a short term residential respite program for persons living with dementia and their carers.
Your service development and leadership skills will drive a culture of best practice, innovation and continuous improvement to ensure that persons living with their dementia and their carers receive a high quality respite experience and are supported to live their best lives.
This is a part time role (0.8) offering flexible working arrangements and work from home. You will be required to travel between Albany, Busselton and Perth. The role is fixed term to June 2027.

Essential qualifications and experience:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Aged Care/Dementia Practice or equivalent qualification, knowledge and experience
Experience providing support to, and advice about dementia to people living with dementia, their family and carers
Experience with service development and planning
Experience with staff supervision and support
Experience delivering client and staff education
Current first aid certificate or willingness to obtain
Essential competencies:
Comprehensive knowledge of dementia and its impact on individuals, families, and carers
Demonstrated computer literacy and willingness to utilise required software
High level communication skills
Proven high level organisational abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Accuracy and attention to detail
Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare’s Christian identity and promote the organisation’s values through interactions at work
Desirable qualifications, competencies and experiences:
Experience working in a community setting.
Other Pre-Requisites:
Registered vehicle with minimum of Third Party Insurance
Current unrestricted drivers licence
Willingness to travel with overnight stays
