we are passionate about our people and prioritise the safety and wellbeing of our team within the workplace.WHY US?Fast paced where no two days are the same.Supportive working environment, focused on professional development.Part of the senior management team helping to develop and grow the company Work that will expand your knowledge and experience.Attractive remuneration on offer?for the right candidate WA and Family-Owned Business where its people come first RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensuring workplace health and safety requirements are being met and maintained.Leadership of the warehouse teams, ensuring staff are engaged with the company values and culture, motivating staff to strive for an efficient and effective warehouse processes.Monitor employee performance, coach, identify and develop team members.Planning and optimisation of all warehouse resources to ensure customer requirements are met.Ensure warehouse QA compliance with all bodies (AQIS import & export, HACCP, SQF and Clients requirements) is met and maintained.Reporting of KPI's and Financials on a weekly and monthly basis.Maintaining and developing relationships with all external stakeholders.Operate, maintain and register all refrigeration and cooling systems.Coordinate and manage customer stocktakes, stock rotation, damages and losses and cycle count and accurate maintenance of stock records in WMS.Ensuring compliance with the handling and storage procedures to prevent damage or spoilage of goods.Management of team members to fulfill customer orders and meet deadlines.Report equipment malfunctions, inventory discrepancies, or safety concerns to upper management.Ensure Investigation of any instances of service failures, loss or damage of freight are closed out in timely manner.Assist in the implementation of process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency.Ensure warehouse complies with HACCP and SQF accreditation.Oversee all cross-dock activities within cold store inclusive of communications with Transport operations.REQUIREMENTS: Leadership and Management Skills: Excellent leadership and team management skills to effectively oversee a large team of cold storage staff.Demonstrated experience of driving continuous improvement and performance delivery.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.Problem-solving and decision-making skills to address operational challenges and optimize cold storage processes.Ability to develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cold storage operations.Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.Education and Experience: Qualifications in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.Proven experience in cold storage management or a similar role, with a minimum of (5) years of experience.Knowledge of cold storage operations, including temperature control, inventory management, and quality control Proficient computer skills with strong WMS background Ability to manage in a cold environment for extended periods.Familiarity with temperature control systems and equipment.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Knowledge of health and safety regulations.Flexibility to work in different shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, as cold storage operations often require 24/7 coverage.
